A white outpost of paradise!
Happy combination of sea and mountains, but also heritage of art treasures, Albori is, without any doubts, a wonderful village. Located 300 meters above sea level, it is a cluster of colored buildings facing the sea, huddled against each other and squeezed between narrow streets and alleys, built to form a strategic defense against the Arabs. The village is surely of a marine origin, as is evident from the current day Àlbori marina. It is probable that the inhabitants decided to take refuge higher up after being continually terrorized by the raids of Saracen pirates, protected by the embrace of Mount Falerzio. The new village has maintained the brightly colored houses of the original Mediterranean architecture.
