Fashion tour of Florence
We will start from the Ferragamo Museum, which documents the entire range of activities of Salvatore Ferragamo, since his return from the United States to Italy in 1927 until his death.
Then we will proceed to the Costume Gallery of the Pitti Palace, with its six thousand pieces, including ancient and modern clothes, accessories and costumes.
This can be considered the only museum of the history of fashion in Italy and one of the most important in the world. Fi-nally we will visit the Museo degli Argenti, the collection of je-wels of the Medici and Lorraine families, in particular we focus on the so-called "Pearl Scaramazza" by Anna Maria Luisa, the last Medici. The visit ends with an introduction to the Boboli Gardens.
As an alternative to the Costume Gallery, the jewel museum and the Boboli Gardens you can choose to visit the Gucci Museum, created in the last 2 years by the great Florentine fashion house in the Court of Mercatanzia, one of the most authoritative public institutions of the Middle Ages.
The tour partecipants will be given a voucher for an aperitive at the historical Caffé Giacosa, which is today the headquarter of the Maison Roberto Cavalli .
