Visit of Racconigi

A magnificent Castle!

Since 1363, when Amedeo VI became Count of Racconigi, the village was al-ways linked to the House of Savoy in a direct way: the feud of the Savoy - Racconigi, was the prerogative of the princes of Carignano, beloved by Carlo Alberto, home of the Royal Holidays until advent of the Republic.During the visit of the castle, among a filler or a portrait , pay attention to an element that is not a trivial detail: rarely a royal palace is built so close to the house . And then, during the visit "peek" from the windows, lean from the balustrades of the terraces: you will admire the same expanse of roof that was dear to Princess Giuseppina di Lorena, and to the sovereign, Carlo Alberto, who most of all loved Racconigi. High on the aristocrats houses and buildings you will see rise up the bell towers of the parish, the brotherhoods and convent churches, that testify to the golden age of this town, the '700 and ‘800.
