Poetry written on the water!
Destination of many Italian and foreign artists, Tellaro in the town of Lerici, is an ancient and charming sea side village of Etruscan origin that overlooks the east-ern shore of the Gulf of Poets. It is perched on a rocky peninsula sloping down to the sea. On the end of the village is the old church dedicated to St. George, dating from the second half of the sixteenth century, which dominates the square surrounded by houses a collection of the old walled town. Strolling along the streets of this picturesque village is an unforgettable experience.
