wineyard in sardinia

Visit of a wineyard and tasting of typical products of Sardinia

The wine of Sardinia!

Since the mid-18th Century, Sardinia has been one of Italy's five autonomous regions, but its separation from the mainland has led to a culture and identity somewhat removed from the Italian mainstream. This is reflected in the Sardini-an relationship with wine. Wine is much less culturally and historically engrained there than in the mainland regions. Today, Sardinia has one DOCG wine, Vermentino di Gallura, 19 DOC zones and 15 IGT zones. Given its relatively hilly topography that limits its available wine area, Sardinia’s relatively large number of certified wine categories denotes a significant attention to quality.
