The ancient Paestum, founded by the Greeks around 600 B.C., was a major Greek city on the coast of the Tyrrhenian Sea in Magna Graecia. UNESCO World Heritage Site by 1988, Paestum archaeological site is bounded by well preserved walls and towers that stretched to a length of about 5 km. Within these walls is one of the richest archaeological parks in the world, dominated by three temples and rich in important historical and artistic evidences. Paestum is also famous for the production of Buffalo milk mozzarella cheese. We will lead you for a visit inside a Certified Organic Farm where Buffaloes are treated only with homeopathic remedies. The stables are equipped with showers and brushes, rubber mats and music, avant-garde techniques of milking to safeguard animal welfare, hygiene and milk quality. The milking robots allow the animal self-management with the rhythm of life more natural and less stressful. A walk to admire the buffaloes, with smells and noises that are integrated with the modernity of the stables. Inside the farm you will also find a leather- shop. Each object is made of vegetable tanned buffalo leather by the hands of skilled craftsmen.
