Visit of Palermo and Monreale, UNESCO world heritage sites

Palermo, together with the Duomo of Monreale and the Duomo of Cefalù, represents the Arabic - Norman itinerary and UNESCO World Heritage site. They show the highest expression of the union of two opposite worlds, the Muslim Arab and the Catholic Norman. The visit of the Arabic - Norman Palermo includes the Cathedral, the Norman Palace, the Palatine Chapel, Quattro Canti, Piazza Pretoria, the Church of Martorana, the Church of San Cataldo.  In Monreale we will visit the cathedral and the Cloister. The cathedral of Monreale, defined “the eighth wonder of the world”, was built after the Palatine Chapel in Palermo and after the cathedral of Cefalù and represents an arrival point in a century characterized by continental insular Norman constructions.
