In the morning enjoy a guided visit of the beautiful medieval borgo of Sovana (formerly Suana). Its origins date back to very ancient times: the presence of many remarkable monuments and vestiges of the past is evidence of the ancient splendours of the Etruscans, of the Papal State and of the Aldobrandeschi family.
At the end of your walk delight your palate visiting a local winery where you will taste fabulous local products
Time at disposal for lunch (on your own)
Together with our guide move then to Pitigliano, borgo perched on top of a steep tuff spur that makes it unique to the landscape. Here you will take a nice guided walk to discover this authentic borgo known as "Little Jerusalem" for the Jewish community living there since the 16th century, whose traces are still visible in the Synagogue and many other historical buildings.

Day 5: Santa Fiora
Breakfast at hotel
Transfer to Santa Fiora
Guided visit of the borgo: it surrounds a small pond – home to a large family of ducks and swans - and it gives the town an alpine climate that’s hard not to fall in love with, especially when it’s capped off by humble stone houses, each centuries’ old and crowded around Medieval churches and neo-Classical piazzas. And if you want to extend your visit, do not miss the little Museum of Mines of Mercury.
Lunch on your own
In the afternoon you can choose one of the optional activities we suggest:
- if you are passionate about nature, we recommend the Path of the Sources, a naturalistic visit of the Founts along the Fiora River
- if you are curious about the gastronomic aspects we suggest a stop in Montegiovi for a visit at a local oil mill with tasting
- if you love manual and craft arts do not miss a visit to a ceramic shop and ceramic laboratory in Arcidosso, one of the most important art of Tuscany
