Visit of Pietramontecorvino
At the foot of the Monti Dauni, the Medieval borgo of Pietramontecorvino extends over flat land and gentles lopes, overlooking an enchanting landscape. It features houses out of rocks, winding roads onto steep stairways and communicating arches that join houses. The heart of the town is the Terra Vecchia quarter, a characteristic maze of narrow alleyways and small squares over shadowed by the PalazzoDucale, a Norman-Angevin tower and the 13 th century Mother Church of Santa Maria Assunta. More wonders are to be found out side of the town, along the network of bike and hiking trails that traverse luxuriant, uncontaminated forests, where wild boars roam free and streams furrow the land.
